BIOGRAPHY:

Early in the 90’s Ionic Vision started out as a threesome (influenced by Nitzer Ebb, Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft, better known as D.A.F., and Pouppee Fabrikk to name just a few) creating hard body tracks.

After some remarkable releases (such as album tapes, video clips and even a 12” tape) and good reviews in magazines across the globe they signed to ‘Khazad-Dum’, sub-label to the German ‘Celtic Circle Productions’, good for several highly sought after CD releases like Prophecy (ION001), Rage Against the acoustic (ION002), The End (ION003). When Celtic Circle Productions stopped its activities and Kurt Rotthier left the band, these Belgian EBM heads kept their machines running, their drive was never so strong to hold on. They got caught up with USA based label DSBP and released a best of CD, Homo Sovieticus (ION004) holding tracks from their CCP era spiced with remixes and exclusive live tracks.

Ionic Vision re-invented itself, steamed up the machines (back as a threesome because around that time they rediscovered close friend and top sound engineer Louis Zachert, now the third hidden Ionic Vision member) and on DSBP they released a remix album ‘MaschinenAngst’ (ION005). An album that highlighted collaboration between massive amounts of different artists like Suicide Commando, Notstandkomitee, K-beaten… Right after that release Ionic Vision took the decision to create their own label ‘Machineries Of Joy’, mainly for releasing EBM related music. Not only did this end up in a solid collaboration between the worldwide respected COP international label, it gave Ionic Vision absolute freedom in exploiting new boundaries.

10 Years of existence and control over their EBM label ended up in late 2002 in the release of the hard core EBM come-back album NeuMaschinen (ION006 and XION006 for the limited edition). This album was quickly boosted into the German Alternative Charts (DAC) and nested between no one else but New Order and Iron Maiden.album, proving that Ionic Vision’s EBM music has a lot of potential. But Ionic Vision went on and on, cruising at high speed, they baffled more people than ever before when they announced their next release ‘In Between (ION007)’. No one else but top DJ Terence Fixmer (known for his collaboration and remixes for Nitzer Ebb) and Thomas P Heckmann (who did a remix for VNV Nation and Covenant) were invited to blow club’s speakers by remixing Ionic Vision.

Ionic Vision forced respect by showing their hard core EBM has more faces than usually seen in reviews. The sales and reactions proved this was a right choice. The 12” vinyl of this release was sold out in only one day, making the list of sought after Ionic Vision items bigger than before. 2006 will be the year of the EBM revival, and Ionic Vision won’t stop. While already working on a new album; they are creating a pounding live set (Ionic Vision never plays studio versions, they re-create special live only versions) to showcase the recently released album “Actual (ION009)” (who also hit the DAC bullets).

Strengthened again by previous positive comments, early 2008 Ionic Vision present a new set of releases. They start off with a remix-EP 'Sweet Isolation (ion010)' where none less than German EBM band Orange Sector is featured on additional vocals and this band also present their first-ever remix. Secondly, Ionic Vision, co-operating with Things To Come Records (Oliver Chesler's label), have yet another 12' on vinyl to enhance their club potential. The remixes by David Carretta, Millimetric, The Horrorist and DJ Stamba will prove this over and over again. Remixed by a plethora of bands, Ionic Vision offers a set of some awesome packages with exclusive versions....

Little after this, they have lined up a new full-CD, called 'Bitter Isolation'. If 'Actual' was to be the new standard, 'Bitter Isolation' send it sky high again.

It's clear ... EBM is not dead yet!

Live you can expect an energetic set full of fierce rhythms, throat grabbing bass sequences and harsh vocals, mixed with clattering metallic percussion!
You want E.B.M.?

With Ionic Vision you are sure to get it!!!

IONIC VISION NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2010

STATUS 86 - www.ionicvision.be

Dear VIP's,

Napels is history, but sure thing it was a blast. Thanks again to all who were involved and especially to Voxi and his lovely wife Gemma: Respect!

For those who may not have read or heard about it: We have another important gig this Friday in Trix - Hof Ter Lo (Antwerp) where we will support
Nitzer Ebb on their kick off concert of their Industrial Complex Tour. A dream come true for us and possibly for any EBM related band to support
thé Nitzer Ebb. Details here:  http://www.bodybeats.be/?navid=494&language=EN

We are also proud to announce our new website. We have been working very, very hard over the past months (nearly over a year that is) to
set up a new website for the Ionic bass gang. Together with webdesigner Manu Dries (http://www.e-vis.be/) we streamlined and updated all
the Ionic info gathered over the past years. A massive change in the vain of the isolated sessions (with our red chair as bases) is ready
for you to be watched here: www.ionicvision.be

We would like this way to send our deepest respect, regards and a shipload of thanks to Bernt and Tommy at DSBP (www.dsbp.cx) who have
been massively supportive over the past years (and for many, many years that is) not only towards our webhosting but for all other good
contacts and efforts. Ionic Vision never ever forgets people that are so good to us, thanks and thanks again guys (loop this, so
it will go on forever).

To highlight this new website and maybe a fresh new start for Ionic we created special t-shirts (some may have already spotted them here and there on gigs) going back to the basic Ionic Vision, the original logo and our everlasting slogan 'rage against the acoustic' printed on the back (cat nbr is TION014). In attachment you will find the front and back print.

Next to the website, the shirt and the upcoming gigs we may not forget we have an official street date for our newest CD 'Complete Isolation (ION014)'
and that is the day after tomorrow, 22nd January 2010. Despite the fact remix cd's are not so often appreciated, we did already
receive some positive feedback, due to the very fine work of the people at PromoFabrik (www.promofabrik.de)

Ionic Vision would not be Ionic Vision if we would not do something special. So we created besides the regular releases two special editions
being a download only set (Final Isolation DION015) and even better, an ex-tre-me-ly limited edition EP entitled Limited isolation (LION014).
This limited release (holding an additional 8 track EP) comes as a double cd which will only be available via Ionic Vision, be it on gigs or for sale
via our website. It is so limited that we will only sell one copy per person ordering via our new website. Check out our shop section as we
created special packages to celebrate all of these goodies: http://www.ionicvision.com/?p=shop

Loads of nice news to kick in 2010, we hope to keep this pace.
Kindest Ionic regards
Andy, Louis and Sven
