About LIZARD SMILE
1995-2000 A band originates when Beatnick joins Strobo and Albi Voombastic after a gig by the latter, autumn 1995. The following years see them gig the Belgian scene.
2000-2005 A first album 'Press my Button' is released. Distributed worldwide through Resurection Records London, it manages to capture the attention of a wider audience. Shows in Belgium and abroad see them share bills with the likes of Diva Destruction, Deine Lakaien, The Neon Judgement, The House of Usher, Scary Bitches,... culminating in slots as support for Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and The Mission.
Lizard Smile contributed to numerous compilations (Gothic Magazine compilation XIII, The Violent Hour - tribute to Sisters of Mercy, Black Box - some kind of Goth, Dark Entries compilation 1 and 5) with their cover of 'Burn' for the 'Our Voices - tribute to the Cure'-compilation receiving notable good press.
After a sabbatical 2005, Lizard Smile started gigging, writing and recording again. Meanwhile the recordings for a new full album are finished and their new album 'Wayward' was released and presented with two strong live performances, one on the renown Belgian Gothic Festival (July 2009, Waregem) and one at the BodyBeats Nights @ Bar Mondial (September 2009, Antwerp, B). Both concerts, as well as the new album received massive positive critics from fans and magazines around the world!
