Mysterious group around Brussels synth-freak Jean-Marc Lederman and the American Bruce Geduldig. After his love for Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze in the seventies, Lederman moved to London in the eighties to drink beers with The The (Matt Johnston) and Fad Gadget (Frank Tovey). When he came back to Brussels some years later, he founded the group Kid Montana together with John Cale-fan Dudley Kludt. Some time later, Lederman announces a new American group à la the Residents (no bio, no photo's): The Weathermen. A few years later it was discovered that the group was in fact a duo of Jean-Marc Lederman and the American Bruce Geduldig. Bruce was part of Tuxedomoon, the influential American band of which some members (at least him and Blaine L. Reiniger) came to reside in Brussels during the eighties.
On the first single/maxi, 'Old Friend Sam' (1985) the band was still in the concept stage, or as Jean-Marc Lederman describes it 'Electronic Body Music or so they said: concept-group debuted with Michel Van Gijsel'.
Their main artifact is the single/maxi 'Poison!' which becomes a huge hit in the discotheques around the globe.
PIAS has released mid-2007 the long awaited 'This Is The Last Communiqué (?)', a really fine compilation with 17 tracks, from 1985 to 2007 all tracks remastered and re-equed for maximal fun...
Meanwhile The Weathermen are ready and waiting to terrorize the stage in your town! Live They offer you always a high quality audiovisual performance with amazing projections.
