Collapsing New People actually originated from the tribute band Porno Karaoke, who had been including a couple songs of Fad Gadget's repertoire in their live set for a few years now. The audience's response to these songs was overwhelming, so it didn't take long for fans and organizers to beg for more Fad Gadget songs ... Or why not start a real Fad Gadget Tribute band?
As great admirers and fans of the whole Fad Gadget oeuvre, the decision to start a real Fad Gadget tribute didn’t take long. And lo and behold! In contrast to the Porno Karaoke project, where the chosen songs get their own unique sound and interpretation, Collapsing New People will try to stay as close as possible to the original sound and atmosphere, musically speaking. As we all know Frank Tovey/Fad Gadget had a unique voice so that part will be hard to match, but rest asure, Borg will throw himself with the same passion and energy on all the great songs Fad Gadget produced throughout his whole career!
Hereby ‘The Best of Fad Gadget’, can finally be enjoyed live again, on a stage near you!
