SPKtR (AU/NZ)
The legendary Australian industrial band SPK is coming to BIMFEST under the name SPKtR for a rare and special performance. Founder Graeme Revell and his son will bring a piece of music history back to life, promising an intense experience for fans of experimental and industrial music.
Founded in the late 1970s, SPK grew into one of the most influential names in the early industrial scene. With groundbreaking releases and confrontational performances, the group explored the boundaries between music, art, and sonic experimentation. Their work quickly became a reference point within the international underground and influenced countless artists across genres such as industrial, noise, and electronic avant-garde.
During this performance, Graeme Revell — composer, sonic visionary, and later renowned film composer — will take the audience on a journey through SPK’s radical sound universe. Expect a set in which iconic pieces from the early repertoire are combined with newly reimagined interpretations of the original material. Dark soundscapes, mechanical rhythms, and hypnotic textures will create an immersive live experience that feels both nostalgic and strikingly contemporary.
For this special BIMFEST show, Revell has also promised organizer BodyBeats Productions that he will deliver a set with a strong EBM drive especially for BIMFEST XXIV. This means the performance will not only be a historical retrospective, but also a powerful bridge to the dancefloor.
For anyone wanting to experience the origins of industrial music, this is a unique opportunity. SPK helped shape a movement that radically redefined music, and the presence of Graeme Revell makes this evening a special moment for both longtime fans and curious newcomers. Don’t miss this unique performance.

In 2007 however, the project got finally, and successfully, reactivated. Multiple new quality releases have been released since like for instance the highly acclaimed mini album “A New Dawn” on 12"/CD (2021) and the in 2025 re-released cult album " Shattered Illusion".

PSYCHE (CAN)
Psyche is a Canadian synthpop and darkwave band known for their atmospheric electronics, emotional lyrics, and lasting influence on underground electronic music. The band was founded in 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta by brothers Darrin Huss and Stephen Huss. Psyche emerged during the early wave of electronic pop alongside acts inspired by European synth pioneers. Their sound combined melancholic melodies, romantic themes, and danceable beats, quickly earning them a loyal international fanbase.
The group gained widespread attention with their debut album Insomnia Theatre (1985) and especially the single Unveiling the Secret, which became a club hit across Europe and remains a classic in synthpop and goth playlists. When Stephen Huss left the band in the mid-1980s, Darrin Huss continued as Psyche’s creative core, collaborating with various musicians and producers while preserving the project’s signature sound.
In the late 1980s and 1990s, Psyche relocated to Europe, where they built a strong fanbase, particularly in Germany. Albums such as Mystery Hotel and Strange Romance showcase a mature, cinematic style that blends pop accessibility with darker electronic textures. In 2025, the band celebrates 40 years of “Unveiling the Secret,” highlighting their enduring impact on the international synthpop scene. Today, Psyche remains active with tours and new releases, maintaining their cult status within synthpop, new wave, and dark electronic music.

AUX ANIMAUX (SE)
Based in Stockholm, Sweden, aux animaux is the darkwave/hauntwave project of Turkish-born musician and producer Gözde Düzer. Since its founding in 2015, she has created a moody, cinematic atmosphere heavily influenced by 1980s darkwave, horror soundtracks, and occult themes.
A self-taught musician and former professional bassist, Düzer delivers captivating live performances where she alternates between vocals, bass guitar, and the theremin—an instrument she refers to as her "source of sorcery." Her style, often dubbed "hauntwave," is characterized by a blend of raw EBM basslines, ethereal synth textures, and ghostly vocals.
A significant highlight in her career was recently serving as the support act for IAMX on his latest tour, further solidifying her presence in the international underground scene. Her discography includes acclaimed releases such as Black Holes (2018), Stockholm Synthrome (2020), and her debut full-length album, Body Horror (2023). The name aux animaux (French for "to the animals") reflects her deep convictions as a vegan and animal rights advocate. By weaving personal themes like misophonia and shadow work into dark electronics, aux animaux continues to be a unique and rising force in the genre.

AMNISTIA (D)
Amnistia is a German electronic body music (EBM) project from Leipzig, known for its powerful blend of classic old-school EBM, industrial textures, and modern electronic production. Emerging in the early 1990s and becoming especially active again in the 2000s, Amnistia quickly earned a reputation for energetic rhythms, driving basslines, and politically aware, socially critical themes.
Drawing inspiration from the pioneers of the genre while maintaining a contemporary edge, the band bridges the gap between traditional EBM and modern industrial club music. Their sound combines hard, danceable beats with atmospheric synth layers and commanding vocals, making them a regular presence on European alternative dance floors and festival lineups.
Over the years, Amnistia has built a loyal international fanbase through consistent releases and live performances that capture the raw intensity of the EBM scene. With a style that balances nostalgia and innovation, the band continues to stand as a respected name within the global industrial and electronic music community.

BODY TO BODY (B)
Body To Body is a brand new band formed by Bram Coussement and Bert Libeert. Besides sharing their hometown of Kortrijk, they also share the same taste and sound aesthetic when it comes to music. Both members play in various other bands (VAAG, GOOSE, B1980) and have numerous releases, bringing their own unique vision to the project. Live, they rely entirely on analogue machinery, complemented by synths and old-school drum pads. Expect dark basslines, industrial drum sounds, and vocals with a message.

B1980 (B)
The respected producer and musician Bert Libeert is also known as the drummer of the Belgian electro rock band GOOSE (BE). With his live EBM/techno project, B1980 brings the raw emotions and spontaneity of live techno music back to clubs, armed with just two synths and 2 drum machines. In the studio, using nothing but analogue gear, his signature sound is to combine organic and atmospheric recordings with the attitude and rawness of EBM-style techno. Influenced by new beat and Belgian bands like Front242, his mission is to continue the Belgian sound in his unique way. For B, music is not all about technique or knowledge, it’s about expressing your personality and style. The meditative vibes and the dark baselines with low pitched drums define what he stands for. You might heard his tracks before on many dancefloors, as his music is supported and played by artists like Kris Baha, Fedele, Terence Fixmer, The Hacker and many more… He released on labels like ZONE, Boysnoize records, Italo Moderni, Mosaique rec. Bert loves breaking boundaries in music. His collaborations with CHVE & Syndrome & remixes for Autumns, GOOSE, Phrenetic System (Bonzai) & Whispering Sons are proof of his versitality. A series of parties held at unusual spots: from fairgrounds to swimming pools and galleries.PLASTIKSTROM (D)

PLASTIKSTROM (D)
PLASTIKSTROM entered the musical stage at the beginning of the new millennium with a self-distributed mini-album and several sampler contributions. However, the two band members Jürgen Schips and Matthias Günzler were not newcomers to the scene but had already left their mark with their band Darc Entries in the 90s. While Darc Entries was still a classic goth rock band, they switched to purely electronic sounds with PLASTIKSTROM. In 2019, the first album "Beton gegen Angst" was released on Young & Cold Records, followed by its successor "Eskalation" in 2023.
While the band name PLASTIKSTROM might lead you to expect a minimal electronic sound, the album titles suggest dark, aggressive sounds. With PLASTIKSTROM, both are true, and that is exactly what makes it so special.
The dark electro origins are clearly recognizable but always combined with new influences that make this band so special. The German-language lyrics do the rest to make the new album "Eskalation" stand out from the crowd.
PLASTIKSTROM have learned their lesson and make their own thing out of darkwave, EBM, electro-punk, seasoned with a few experimental sounds and rhythms: dark electro for the dancefloors and a noticeable punk spirit always comes to the fore!

Despite a strong live reputation, the project went quiet after Trilogy. Mark Borgions later became a successful illustrator in Antwerp, while Jo Lijnen ran a multidisciplinary arts center in Hasselt.
